Why would we do this? Great question. Car dealers buy cars at auction. The cars at auction are primarily coming from rental companies, financial institutions and other dealers. In other words, rental cars, bank repossessions and dealer rejects. Do you want to buy a rental, repo or reject? Neither do we. We believe that buying and selling local, privately owned vehicles is best for us and best for our customers. The money we save on auction fees and transportation makes it possible to PAY YOU TWICE.
-
Not usually. In fact, we encourage you to get other offers to compare. KBB, CarMax & Carvana are just a few examples of places to get offers on your vehicle. We will always do our best to match a written offer you have from any other dealership or even beat it, but this totally depends on our visual inspection and appraisal when we check out your vehicle in person, which usually lasts about 30 minutes. The difference is that they will NOT share their profit with you once they sell your old car, but WE DO!
-
NO. With a vehicle consignment you still own your vehicle, and won't get paid anything until the car sells. In the meantime, you are still liable for auto insurance, payments, and any damage etc. With Way Sarff's Profit Sharing Program, once you sell us your vehicle all of your liability ends. We assume all liability of your old vehicle. You receive your money NOW, and a chance for a lot more down the road.
-
Absolutely not. You only have an upside. We assume all liability and risk moving forward.
-
We primarily use Kelley Blue Book, NADA, Black Book, and Carfax.
-
Not every vehicle will qualify for this program, however we will still buy it from you! If there are mechanical problems not cost effective to repair, safety issues, has a rebuilt or branded title, or total loss vehicles, we would not be able to retail it to our customer, therefore we wouldn't be able to split our profit with you - but we are still happy to purchase it from you.
